Where to get Lithium in Subnautica: Below Zero

Subnautica: Below Zero is an action and adventurous game where you get to explore the underwater world. You also collect many reasons like weapons, tools, and minerals. Among those minerals are Lithium and diamonds, which are the most essential in Subnautica: Below Zero.

They can be found in many biomes, but the needed quantity requires you to visit more than one biome. Once collected, these raw materials can be used in crafting tools and stations. We will show where you can get Lithium and diamond in Subnautica: Below Zero.

Best place to get Lithium in Subnautica: Below Zero

Lithium is a raw material found on the seabed of many Biomes in Subnautica: Below Zero. However, the best place to get Lithium is in the Purple Vents biome. The Purple Vents are located in the thermal zone and are easily seen by the purple hydrothermal vents in the biome.

Alternatively, you can collect them from Sea Monkeys, which offers a player most of the game resources. They can also be acquired within the depths of the Ore Veins in the Arctic Spires. Lithium is used to craft fabricators, habitat builders, and Modification stations.

Where to get Diamond in Subnautica: Below Zero

On the other hand, Diamonds can be collected as a large resource deposit. Diamond deposits are found in the Tree Spires and Koppa Mining Site. There is a low chance that Diamonds can be found as an Ore Vein in the Arctic Spires.

The Diamond veins are found deeper than 200 meters in the ocean. The best way to get some diamonds in Subnautica: Below Zero is from the Ore Veins near the Lava Geysers in the smaller Thermal Spires Caves.

Please note that you need to be careful here because an eruption from the Lava Geysers can cause damage to you.

What depth is Lithium in Subnautica: Below Zero?

To get Lithium, you need to set the direction to one, click the right of Southeast and proceed about 735 meters in that direction. Despite the long distance, you will only require a sea truck or glide to reach your destination. You can also carry a Mineral Detector that allows you to scan the area for Lithium.

While moving in that direction, you will see blue steam coming out of the ground. Get out of the sea truck and swim towards the ground. Ensure you scout the entire place to collect up to 10 lithium ores.

Lithium can also be found on sea beds that are 40 meters depth in the sea. Therefore, Lithium is very important, especially in the second half of the game. You should therefore collect as much Lithium as possible for crafting high-strength Plasteel, which in turn can craft many other items and habitat builders using blueprints in the game.

Uses of Lithium and Diamond in Subnautica: Below Zero

Lithium and Diamond are used to craft the Fabricator, Habitat Builder, and the Modification Station. It is also a resource for the following blueprints:

  • Prawn Suits (Jump Jet Upgrade, Drill Arm, Torpedo Arm, Grappling Arm, and Propulsion Cannon).
  • Seatruck (Afterburner and Horsepower Upgrade).
