How to use an axe in Animal Crossing
As mentioned above, axes are tools in the Animal Crossing series. Primarily, they are used for cutting down trees in the player’s town. Striking a tree with an axe causes any object (like fruits, beehives) on the tree to fall. The tree then falls after the third strike.
After cutting down a tree, a stump remains. So, if you want to remove the tree completely, you will have to dig it out using a shovel.
